Exciting solutions on topics such as welding under water will be tangible at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN from September 11 to 15 at Messe Essen. At the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing, market leaders, niche players, start-ups, experts, users and decision-makers from the international industry will finally be given a joint platform again. They are all looking forward to discussing market trends and presenting solutions and products at Messe Essen.
A special focus this year is on the topic of underwater technology. “In many discussions with representatives from the industry, the desire to focus more on underwater technology has become clear. Working offshore or in port facilities is taking on an increasingly important role in underwater work, so we were happy to meet the need,” explains Christina Kleinpaß, project manager of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN.
The theme of underwater technology is also reflected in the program of the world’s leading trade show. On September 12 and 13, the Underwater Technology Conference (UWT) will take place. There, exhibitors’ representatives and visitors will have the opportunity to exchange information about current developments in the industry and to enrich each other with ideas and suggestions.
The event is divided into a German- and an English-language program.
The professional audience can follow how the most important players from the respective application areas illuminate various topics in technical presentations and then enter into discussion.
Primarily, the following topics are on the agenda at the Underwater Technology Conference: the latest from research and development, underwater welding and cutting, electrode development, standards and regulations, non-destructive testing underwater, and practical examples from underwater technology.
The exhibitors Certilas GmbH, DCN Diving, the Fraunhofer IGP Institute, Hansataucher GmbH, Gedik Welding Inc., Marex Subsea Welds, HYTORC Seis GmbH, Subsea Global and GSI mBH NL SLV Hannover will be using a diving container to demonstrate various techniques, ideas and solutions in the field of underwater technology. Here visitors have the opportunity to get a direct impression of new techniques in an exemplary field of application. Among other things, the diving container will be used for presentations on the application of screw connections under water, hyperbaric welding in a micro-habitat or separation processes in underwater applications.
Registrations for the Underwater Technology conference can be made via the website www.schweissen-schneiden.com. The program on the presentation area can also be viewed here.
